Oracle Legacy Oracle Retail Advanced Inventory Planning Advanced Planning and Scheduling SCM n/a 2010 2011 In 2010, Grupo Pão de Açúcar implemented Oracle Retail Advanced Inventory Planning. The deployment targeted Advanced Planning and Scheduling to standardize inventory replenishment and to automate order generation across distribution centers and diverse retail formats including mini-markets and perishables assortments. The Oracle Retail Advanced Inventory Planning configuration was implemented alongside Oracle Retail Merchandising System RMS and Oracle Retail Demand Forecasting RDF, reflecting an integrated merchandising, forecasting and inventory planning architecture. Functional modules and capabilities implemented included automatic order generation workflows such as CD to store transfer SRP, warehouse replenishment planning WRP for CD supplier flows, category-specific processes for ED, FLV and perishables, security stock SS calculations, and dedicated mini-market resupply logic. The rollout began with an Oracle AIP pilot and encompassed scenario definition, assembly and execution as part of an Oracle Retail 3.2 version upgrade effort. Operational coverage spanned supply chain, merchandising and store operations teams, with planning horizons and replenishment orchestration configured to support both centralized distribution centers and individual store resupply. Data integration points emphasized demand signals from RDF feeding AIP replenishment engines and inventory positions synchronized with RMS to maintain product availability and automated ordering consistency. Governance and delivery followed a structured program of analysis of functional user needs, scope elaboration, project planning and coordination, development and validation. Implementation activities prioritized scenario-based validation and cross-functional signoff, aligning replenishment rules and security stock governance with merchandising and operations processes.
