In 2021, GSL: A Good Start to Life implemented ELMO Learning Management to centralize Learning and Development workflows across its Cairns QLD operations. The deployment positioned ELMO Learning Management as the primary system for managing training, learner engagement, and compliance-related learning activities for a 150 employee professional services organization serving children and young adults aged 0 to 24 years.
The implementation focused on core learner management capabilities, including creation and tracking of individual, team and unit training plans, monitoring engagement and progress, and structured evaluation and measurement of training quality against organizational standards. ELMO Learning Management was configured to support role-based training plans and to assist delivery of face to face and facilitated learning, consistent with standard Learning and Development workflows for training qualification tracking and program evaluation.
Operational coverage emphasized integration with internal HR and people processes, with the People Group Lead assigned accountability for monitoring and reporting on engagement and progress. The solution was used by the People team, the venture team responsible for service delivery improvements, and frontline unit managers in Cairns, aligning training administration with business functions in service delivery, quality assurance and staff development.
Governance was organized around centralized reporting and ownership by the People Group Lead, with workflows established for enrollment, progress tracking and evaluation to improve consistency of role and unit performance. Familiarity with ELMO among candidates and staff was noted as advantageous, and the implementation narrative centers on using ELMO Learning Management to operationalize Learning and Development governance and program administration rather than on technical integrations or cost outcomes.

In 2021 A Good Start to Life implemented Nightingale Client Management as the organization’s Patient Management application to centralize client data and address rostering needs. Nightingale Client Management was deployed to serve client record consolidation, rostering and scheduling workflows, and operational client administration across GSL-Cairns QLD and the wider organization’s service delivery functions.
Configuration work focused on client record management, rostering and scheduling configuration, care plan documentation, and role based access to support compliance frameworks referenced by the organization. Nightingale Client Management was implemented alongside Centro Assist for policy and procedure handling in line with NDIS requirements and Zendesk for ticketing support across IT, Maintenance, HR, and Finance, creating a coordinated applications portfolio for client care operations.
Governance and operational ownership were established through the Systems Group Lead who acted as Subject Matter Expert for the software stack, delivered training to Learning and Development, Payroll, HR Generalist, and finance teams, and embedded operational processes for recruitment, onboarding, performance and reporting that aligned with the new Patient Management workflows. The implementation was executed in parallel with an ELMO HR rollout and a partnership with a new MSP to transition day to day support and initiate a multi year upgrade program for ongoing application lifecycle management.
