In 2020 HEMA deployed Adyen for Payment Processing on its website, integrating the Adyen payment layer directly into the retailer's e-commerce checkout flow. The implementation situates Adyen as the primary payment gateway responsible for online card authorizations and acceptance of local and international payment methods on HEMA's web storefront.
The deployment leverages standard Payment Processing capabilities, including payment authorization and settlement workflows, tokenization for card-on-file use cases, and reconciliation data exports to support finance operations. Configuration focused on web checkout integration and server side API calls to process transactions, with implementation of hosted or embedded payment components to manage PCI scope and customer payment data flow.
Operationally the Adyen deployment impacts HEMA's e-commerce, payments operations, and finance functions, centralizing online payment acceptance for the website channel. Governance emphasis was placed on payment reconciliation processes and operational handoffs between online commerce teams and finance, aligning settlement feeds and transaction reporting with existing accounting workflows.

| BRANDMANNEN | Legacy | BRANDMANNEN Recruitment Marketing | Candidate Relationship Management | HCM | n/a | 2022 | 2022 |
In 2022, HEMA deployed BRANDMANNEN Recruitment Marketing, a Candidate Relationship Management application to support HR and recruiting operations in the Netherlands. The engagement was structured as a five month recruitment marketing campaign focused on four urgent target groups, store staff, horeca staff, drivers, and team leaders, aligning the application to frontline hiring needs.
The implementation emphasized recruitment marketing capabilities including campaign segmentation, audience targeting, and pixel tracking to instrument candidate flow from impression to application. BRANDMANNEN Recruitment Marketing was configured to capture digital touch points and feed conversion events into a measurement layer, supporting continuous campaign optimization and candidate pool building.
Integrations were explicitly implemented with assessment tooling, notably Harver, and pixel tracking was used to measure channel performance and application conversions. Operational scope was HR and recruiting in the Netherlands, with campaign orchestration layered over local recruitment channels and reporting pipelines that delivered results to HR leadership.
Governance focused on campaign cadence and leadership reporting, with Brandmannen providing ongoing measurement and candidate flow insights during the five month engagement. The campaign generated millions of impressions and produced hundreds of hires and applicants, the case listing approximately 728 applications across the target groups, and results were reported to HEMA leadership for recruitment decision making.
