Integrations and data scope included consolidation of data that had been distributed across on premise tools such as Access and Excel and a set of home grown solutions supported by the Woolworths IT team. Implementation planning addressed high volume transactional activity that existed prior to the cloud deployment, including an estimated 300,000 faxes per year, 465,000 master data changes and 250,000 annual leave forms, to establish a single source of employee master data in the Core HR platform.
Program governance was led through a centralized HCM program office, with Bernadette King identified as HCM program director and earlier sponsorship from the head of HR transformation. The program was rolled out in phased modules to sequence performance, talent, payroll and learning capabilities, and the cloud decision prioritized moving to the SuccessFactors Talent suite while explicitly evaluating Employee Central payroll readiness in market.
