In 2017, Hyatt implemented HireRight Employment Background Checks as a BackGround Screening application to support global recruiting and HR hiring workflows. The implementation sat inside Hyatt's global recruiting technology stack and was administered by Hyatt HRIS and recruiting technology teams based in the Global Operations Center in Chicago, aligning background screening order initiation with recruiting process flows.
Configuration work focused on standard BackGround Screening capabilities including candidate order initiation, status tracking, report retrieval, and adjudication workflow orchestration. HireRight Employment Background Checks was instrumented to accept orders from applicant tracking workflows and to surface screening status to recruiters, with configuration and automation tasks managed through Taleo administration and Taleo Connect Client touch points.
Integrations were explicitly built between HireRight Employment Background Checks and Hyatt's recruiting systems, including Oracle Taleo applicant tracking, Hirevue video interviewing touch points, Hyatt.jobs candidate intake, and Equifax I-9 management for documentation workflows. Integration patterns used Taleo Passport and TCC integration touch points to pass candidate identifiers, trigger background orders, and return screening results into recruiting records for downstream HR processing.
Governance and operationalization included system administration, end user support, vendor service request management, and maintenance of training and administration guides. The HRIS Analyst role coordinated small to medium optimization projects, created and supported TCC integrations, partnered with the HRIS Reporting Team for compliance reporting and data validation, and served as the primary liaison between HR business groups, recruiting teams, and vendor support.
Operational coverage emphasized global recruiting and HR functions, compliance reporting, and continuous support for recruiting technology integrations. HireRight Employment Background Checks was positioned as the centralized BackGround Screening service within Hyatt's recruiting ecosystem, with ongoing administration and integration ownership retained by Hyatt HRIS and recruiting technology staff.

In 2025, Hyatt Hotels implemented Opera Guest Engagement and Merchandising as part of a broader Oracle OPERA Cloud rollout to centralize property management and strengthen guest servicing within the Guest Management category. The implementation of Opera Guest Engagement and Merchandising is positioned as an embedded layer of guest-facing merchandising and upsell orchestration inside OPERA Cloud, aligning property management and guest engagement workflows.
Configuration focused on core Guest Management capabilities, including centralized guest profiles, reservation lifecycle controls, offer and merchandising orchestration, and automated upsell presentation. Opera Guest Engagement and Merchandising was configured to manage merchandising rules and offer sequencing centrally while allowing property-level acceptance and fulfillment, reflecting standard guest management and merchandising workflows in hospitality property management systems.
The deployment leverages Oracle’s embedding of Nor1 PRIME upsell capabilities into the OPERA Cloud property management system, enabling Nor1 PRIME functionality to be invoked from within Opera Guest Engagement and Merchandising for targeted upsell offers.
