| Salesforce | Legacy | Salesforce Field Service (ex ClickSoftware) | Field Service Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2013 | 2013 |
In 2013, Interface, Inc. evaluated Salesforce Field Service (ex ClickSoftware) as part of a Field Service Management initiative aligned to a five year Digital Architecture Roadmap developed with Salesforce. The assessment targeted Dealer business use cases and was positioned within a broader effort to align Sales and Marketing systems to growth strategy and global brand consistency.
The Field Service evaluation sat alongside a global Salesforce program that consolidated customer engagement platforms, including migration to Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud for over 1,250 users, and deployments of CPQ and Einstein Analytics. Functional focus areas included service scheduling and dispatch planning typical of Field Service Management, sales configuration and quoting workflows, analytics driven dashboards for divisional presidents, and service case management to increase user adoption.
Interface integrated the Salesforce ecosystem with Eloqua marketing automation and its public website, and implemented Informatica IDQ and MDM to establish customer master data governance across five data domains to enable easier integration of the nora acquisition. The broader technical architecture included a Global Middleware solution built on IBM Application Integration Suite, a Product Data Management system that consolidated product data from four ERP systems, and integration of Building Information Modeling files into design, estimation software, and CRM.
Governance and process changes were formalized through a Global Master Data Management Team created with the CFO, and dashboards developed with Divisional Presidents and VPs of Business Operations to drive sales and Salesforce adoption. The program emphasized standard global processes to reduce development time and support costs, consolidated an enterprise website to eliminate over 50 disparate sites, and supported subsequent initiatives such as evaluation of AR VR design technologies and a Covid 19 workplace survey deployed via Salesforce.
