In 2017 Inventiva implemented IDBS ActivityBase, an Analytics and BI application, to centralize and accelerate high throughput screening and high content screening workflows. The deployment targeted Inventiva’s drug discovery operations in France and was scoped to support HTS and HCS assay execution and analysis across the research organization.
The implementation focused on ActivityBase’s HCS functionalities and high throughput screening capabilities, enabling inline display of high content images alongside analysis data, consolidated data capture, and graphical visualization of results in graph and curve form. IDBS ActivityBase was configured to enforce Inventiva’s analysis requirements and standards, improving data quality control during assay processing and simplifying the workflow for running and reviewing wells.
IDBS worked collaboratively with Inventiva using an agile development approach to integrate ActivityBase with laboratory equipment and existing reporting systems, completing the platform rollout in under a year. Integration was managed to ensure smooth reporting from instruments to the application, and Inventiva participated in configuration and acceptance to align the platform with operational needs.
As an outcome of the deployment, Inventiva reported a tenfold decrease in the time required to complete analysis and a measurable uptick in data quality, with positive feedback from researchers and plans to extend the platform footprint beyond the original scope. Governance changes included tighter enforcement of analysis standards within ActivityBase and collaborative workflows between scientists and the vendor during ongoing development and support.

In 2020 Inventiva implemented OVHcloud as its Application Hosting and Computing Services provider to host its corporate website and public web infrastructure. Inventiva uses OVHcloud to provide the application hosting and computing layer that supports the company website, RESTful endpoints for public content, and general site delivery responsibilities.
The OVHcloud deployment is structured around standard Application Hosting and Computing Services capabilities, including virtual server provisioning, DNS management and SSL certificate handling, using OVHcloud control plane tooling for provisioning and operational tasks. Hosting and site operations are implemented at the web presence level, aligning the Application Hosting and Computing Services with Inventiva business functions responsible for external communications and corporate information delivery.
