In 2017, IRT Group implemented Epicor ERP as its ERP Financial system to centralize core financial operations. Epicor ERP is listed among IRT’s endorsed enterprise systems alongside Platinum, Procura, Basware, Content Manager, Sales Force, Protecht, Success Factors, Scout, SharePoint, Workplace and the IRT Supplier Portal.
The Epicor ERP deployment focused on standard ERP Financial functional modules, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed asset accounting, cash management and budgeting controls. Configuration emphasized financial chart of accounts alignment and transaction-level auditability consistent with nonprofit fund accounting needs, while procurement-related flows were coordinated with existing procurement tooling.
Integrations were implemented with several named enterprise systems to create an end-to-end financial and procurement landscape. Epicor ERP was linked with Procura and Basware to support procurement and supplier invoicing workflows, integrated with Content Manager and SharePoint for document and records management, and aligned with the IRT Supplier Portal for supplier connectivity, while HR master data synchronization points were maintained with Success Factors.

The implementation emphasized standard Core HR process automation including structured onboarding, performance cycle management, and learning assignment workflows, reflecting typical human capital management patterns for a cloud HR platform.
The solution was delivered as a cloud-first architecture intended to operate across IRT Group's Australian operations, supporting HR processes for residential and community-based seniors care functions. Interfaces were scoped to support payroll services and learning administration as part of the overall HR lifecycle, while data and role models were designed to reflect People & Culture governance and security boundaries.
Governance and rollout were driven by the People & Culture function as part of a broader business transformation program that prioritized customer centricity, innovation, business excellence, culture, and board-level engagement. HR used the new Core HR platform to map customer and workforce journeys, improve back-office operations, and encourage new ways of working, with the explicit objective of enabling People & Culture to focus on delivering strategic outcomes to the business.

The deployment of AlayaCare Procura was positioned to centralize customer billing, purchase order control for CDC expenditure, time keeping and payroll transaction handling, and customer statement generation within a single Home Care Management application.
Modules and configuration work focused on billing and invoicing, purchase order control for Consumer Directed Care expenditure, fortnightly timekeeping and payroll transaction reconciliation, customer account management and monthly HCP statement despatch. The implementation included development of training assets and operational job aids, with the Applications Support Officer assigned to train staff and maintain how to cards for Procura and related financial processes.
The AlayaCare Procura implementation integrated explicitly with payroll systems Emplive and My Central, procurement platform Coupa, customer master and CRM records in Salesforce, and the general ledger in Epicor, plus other IRT systems. Integration work emphasized transactional integrity and accurate flows of timekeeping, payroll-related charges and procurement transactions into the General Ledger and billing modules, ensuring data consistency across Finance, Home Care operations and Group Finance reporting processes.
Governance and operational controls were formalized around purchase order control for CDC spending, regular reporting to Group Finance to manage home care debtors, and scheduled communications to customers and brokers. Responsibilities included ensuring accurate and timely billing to customers and brokers, controlling CDC expenditure postings, and coordinating with Group Finance on aged debtor oversight, with processes reinforced through training, documentation and application support roles.
