In 2017, Island Hospitality Management implemented AvidInvoice as part of its AP Automation environment. Island Hospitality Management is a West Palm Beach based operator of 170 hotel properties with approximately 3,000 employees and hundreds of vendor relationships, which had created acute invoice volume pressure on accounts payable.
The deployment centralized invoice capture, routing and electronic payment orchestration using AvidInvoice alongside AvidPay, and the company later extended the environment with AvidUtility for utility and telecommunications bills. Functional modules and capabilities implemented include automated invoice capture and processing, approval workflow and remote approvals, electronic check runs and payment execution, and a receipt-through-review-to-payment flow for utility invoices.
Integrations were configured between AvidInvoice, AvidPay and AvidUtility to create end-to-end AP processing and to enable 24/7 portal access for approvers working remotely. Reporting and export capabilities were provisioned to generate custom Excel reports for internal and external auditors, allowing Island Hospitality to upload reports directly to auditor portals and to share quarterly reports with hotel ownership groups.
