In 2015, JCB India implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as its ERP Financial system. The SAP ERP ECC 6.0 deployment centralized transactional processing for materials and financial records across manufacturing store operations.
Implementation scoped core material management workflows including goods receipt note creation, material issue posting, stock transfers and maintenance of inventory master data. Store personnel prepared GRN in SAP ERP ECC 6.0 with document verification and were responsible for ensuring 100% accurate master data in SAP(ECC 6.0) on a daily basis.
Operational coverage included store operations at JCB India Pvt Ltd in Pune, Maharashtra, with day to day coordination across Sales, Purchase, Quality, Project and Finance to support production issuance, supplier receipts and quality hold handling. Inventory control activities executed through SAP transactions included FIFO monitoring, safety stock tracking and shelf life rack management.
Governance and process controls were embedded in store workflows, including daily 5S practices, weekly and monthly perpetual inventory cycles, daily steel stock checks and routine variance adjustments. The implementation positioned SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as the authoritative system for inventory postings, master data governance and cross functional transaction orchestration.

In 2023 JCB India implemented SAP SuccessFactors Compensation as part of its Compensation Management portfolio to standardize and automate employee rewards and pay processes. The implementation sits within a broader SuccessFactors footprint at JCB India Ltd, a manufacturing employer with approximately 8,000 employees, and aligns Compensation Management with existing recruitment, ONB 1.0 and 2.0, Employee Central, PMGM, Learning Management and SCDP modules already active in SuccessFactors.
SAP SuccessFactors Compensation was configured to leverage standard compensation planning capabilities, approval workflows and pay component modeling consistent with Compensation Management best practices, while integrating data feeds from Employee Central for master HR data. The deployment emphasized configuration over customization, closing identified gaps in the prior SuccessFactors implementation and enabling consistent compensation workflows across business units.
The technical architecture is hybrid, integrating SuccessFactors cloud modules with SAP On Prem systems and HCI HANA for middleware based data exchange. The HR technology team completed integrations for auto data synchronization with Ceridian, Happay and Outlook to streamline payroll related data flows and expense related inputs, and to reduce manual reconciliation between systems.
Governance and rollout focused on shifting from individual dependent processes to system dependent operations, decentralizing activities and empowering location HR through targeted training and monitoring. The program included one to one gap remediation, stakeholder engagement across HR and IT, and initiatives for simplification, standardization and automation of HR processes to support smoother compensation administration at the Ballabgarh site and across location HR teams.
