SAP ERP ECC 6.0 was configured to support core financial modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting and Cash Management, and consolidation and financial reporting capabilities. Configurations emphasized month end close workflows, preparation of monthly management accounts, board reporting and statutory consolidated accounts to align with the Group CFO and the finance leadership team.
The deployment unified accounting records and financial systems used by the Group, providing structured workflows for external audit preparation, tax and Business Activity Statement lodgements, fringe benefits tax administration and capital expenditure accounting. The implementation supported operational controls for reconciliations, cash flow forecasting and management of foreign exchange transactions and translations across the Australian group.
Governance was organized around a centralized finance function based at the Support Office in Summer Hill, with a finance team of about 20 reporting into the Group Financial Controller and the Group CFO. The role of the finance leadership emphasized development and enforcement of accounting policies, financial controls, budgeting and forecasting processes, and preparation of tax schedules and statutory filings leveraging SAP ERP ECC 6.0.

In 2018, JPL Group implemented Ceridian Dayforce HCM as its Core HR application, consolidating human capital management for the retail group. The deployment targeted the JPL Group portfolio including Prouds the Jewellers, Angus & Coote, and Goldmark, supporting more than 4,500 team members across over 460 stores in Australia.
Ceridian Dayforce HCM was configured to centralize employee master data and organizational management, to standardize position control and workforce hierarchies, and to automate core HR lifecycle workflows such as onboarding and offboarding. The implementation encompassed time and attendance capture and absence management capabilities to align store scheduling with HR records, and it included payroll processing functionality within the Ceridian Dayforce HCM environment to streamline payroll administration.
The program included a data migration from Chris 21 into Ceridian Dayforce HCM, with data cleansing and cutover planning as part of the migration effort. Operational coverage extended across HR, payroll administration, and store management teams, with the system serving as the single source of truth for employee records and workforce transactions across Australian retail locations.
Governance was organized through a central program office that enforced role based access, standardized HR workflows, and phased rollout sequencing by business unit and store clusters. Business analysts were engaged in a subsequent migration and enhancement phase between October 2020 and March 2021 to refine configurations, support user acceptance testing, and stabilize post go live processes.
