The implementation centered on Epicor Financial Management combined with Epicor Advanced Requisition Management ARM and Epicor Senior Living Solution, with ARM delivered as an online requisition and workflow engine providing full-cycle procurement functionality via a web browser. Configuration work included requisition workflow modeling, multi‑level authorisation controls, purchase order automation and inventory optimisation rules, enabling users to raise high volumes of purchase orders through a controlled electronic process.
Juniper integrated Epicor ERP with its resident management processes by leveraging Epicor Senior Living Solution to ensure financial and client records synchronized in real time, and the organisation noted ease of integration with other applications for operational reporting. Precise Business Solutions acted as the implementation partner, using their Precision methodology to deliver ARM as a Precise-developed module and to provide ongoing enhancement and support for the enterprise information system.
Governance and process change accompanied the technical deployment, with procurement practices and authorisation workflows restructured to improve visibility to commitments and enforce expenditure control. The implementation encompassed Epicor Senior Living Solution, Epicor Financial Management and Epicor Advanced Requisition Management ARM, and targeted Juniper’s estate of fourteen retirement villages, thirteen low care residential services and seven intermixed facilities, supporting an employee base of 2,217.
Epicor Senior Living was configured to link clinical and resident data to financial processes while Epicor Financial Management handled ledgers and procurement accounting. Epicor Advanced Requisition Management ARM was implemented as an online requisition and workflow engine to provide full-cycle procurement functionality via web browser, enforce authorisation levels, and standardise purchase order creation across sites.
The deployment included integration between the resident management and financial modules to enable access to real-time data and streamlined reporting, and Juniper engaged Precise Business Solutions to implement and continually enhance the solution using a formal methodology. Operational coverage extended to supplier and procurement management, where Juniper brought more than 2,500 suppliers into the platform and has processed in excess of 25,000 purchase orders through the system.
Governance and process change were central to the rollout, with procurement authorisation workflows introduced, month-end accruals removed, and manager access to daily transaction history established. Juniper reports that ARM and the Healthcare ERP environment rationalised supplier relationships, improved error detection and control in purchasing, and contributed to savings described as well in excess of 1 million Australian dollars during the 09/10 financial year.
