In 2010, K Line Singapore implemented CRiSTAL Solutions WMS. The deployment centralized Warehouse Management for a 22-person warehousing, logistics and project management team and supported the company’s domestic and regional logistics sales activities, including the setup of a warehouse in Thailand.
CRiSTAL Solutions WMS was implemented as the upgraded inventory system to provide core Warehouse Management capabilities, including inventory control, receiving, putaway, order picking, packing and shipping workflows, together with cycle counting and SKU lot control. The configuration leveraged category-aligned functionality such as barcode scanning and mobile terminal support to standardize transaction capture and inventory visibility across warehouse operations.
Operational coverage included warehousing, logistics and project management functions across Singapore and the Thailand site, and the WMS was positioned as the primary inventory engine underpinning the creation and development of supply chain solutions for clients. Governance incorporated role based access for warehouse staff, inventory custodians and sales operations, and workflows were instrumented to align order fulfillment and project logistics processes.
