In 2014 K12 Inc. implemented Oracle E-Business Suite to support ERP Financial operations across its corporate finance organization. The engagement positioned Oracle E-Business Suite as the central financial system, with a focus on order-to-cash billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger and fixed asset accounting workflows.
The implementation included configuration and production support for core Oracle R12 modules, specifically GL, AR, AP, CM, BPA, FA, SLA, Payments, iExpense, PO and INV. Functional workstreams addressed FA tax books and the autolockbox process in AR, while payment processing was configured to support ACH in NACHA format and a Positive Pay payment interface with PNC Bank.
Integration workstreams delivered multiple third-party interfaces, including a Salesforce.com to Oracle EBS integration to enable Q2C billing flows, an AP interface with Serengeti for legal invoices, and a billing interface between BEE and Oracle Receivables. The Oracle E-Business Suite environment was hosted in the cloud, and the implementation included system administration responsibilities for the Oracle R12 ERP System alongside day to day coordination with Oracle Managed Cloud Services for instance maintenance, clones and refreshes.
Governance and operational processes were established to coordinate Cloud RFC prioritization and infrastructure upgrades with Oracle, and to analyze and assign routine DBA tasks to Oracle Cloud DBA Services. The program also included user training on Oracle R12 module functionality and ongoing production enhancement and support across GL, AR, AP, CM, BPA, FA, SLA, Payments, iExpense, PO and INV.

| Microsoft | Legacy | Microsoft Power BI | Analytics and BI | Analytics and BI | n/a | 2016 | 2018 |
In 2016 K12 Inc. implemented Microsoft Power BI as part of an Analytics and BI initiative tied to the K12 School’s Data Warehouse. The deployment centered on a dimensional modeling approach to support institutional reporting and OLAP analytics for the organization.
The implementation included a designed dimensional model produced with Toad Data Modeler and data loads into MS SQL, MySQL and PostGre SQL as well as Oracle sources. Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services cubes were developed using MS Visual Studio to create OLAP structures, and Microsoft Power BI was used to analyze and present results through interactive reports and dashboards.
Operationally the solution connected the Data Warehouse layer to the BI presentation layer, enabling Power BI to consume SSAS cube outputs and relational extracts from the multiple database platforms. Governance focused on model-driven data schemas and cube processing workflows to standardize analytics, while the combination of dimensional models, SSAS cubes and Microsoft Power BI formed the Analytics and BI fabric for K12 Inc.
