In 1995, KAESER KOMPRESSOREN implemented SAP Business Suite as its enterprise ERP Financial solution. The program was executed as the companys first complete SAP R/3 implementation using Version 1.x, rolled out across 11 sites in 7 countries and managed as a worldwide deployment of core transactional capabilities.
The implementation encompassed full SAP module coverage typical of SAP R/3, including Financial Accounting FI, Controlling CO, Materials Management MM, Sales and Distribution SD, Production Planning PP and Human Resources HR. Configuration work focused on consolidating master data, standardizing a global chart of accounts, and configuring core financial processes such as general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and cost center accounting to operate under a unified template.
Architecturally the program established a centralized SAP R/3 instance with distributed site access and localized client configurations to support site specific operational needs while maintaining a single financial backbone. SAP Business Suite served as the transactional system for finance, procurement, sales order processing and manufacturing planning across the covered sites, aligning functional workflows to a common application layer.
Governance included a global template and staged site rollout to 11 sites across 7 countries, backed by centralized master data governance and coordinated cutover sequencing to enforce consistent process definitions. The implementation set up enterprise level process ownership for finance and operations and institutionalized template driven configuration to support ongoing cross site consistency.
