| SAP | Legacy | SAP S/4 HANA | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018 Kimberly-Clark implemented SAP S/4 HANA as its ERP Financial platform. The program was executed as a green field S/4 HANA deployment with Solution Manager 7.2 and BW Analysis for Office included in the landscape and delivery cadence coordinated from Atlanta, GA during the November 2018 to March 2019 delivery window.
The implementation covered core application areas including SD, MM, P2P, O2C and logistics, with detailed Fit Gap analysis performed for P2P and R2R objects such as Vendor Master, Source List, finance and open accounts payable. SAP S/4 HANA configuration and development work encompassed full life cycle phases, covering analysis, requirements gathering, development, testing, reporting, go live and post go live support, and included creation of packages, schemas and table structures.
Technical architecture and integrations were oriented around SAP HANA native modeling and data provisioning. The project used SLT and BODS for replication and ETL, ABAP teams to build load programs, and PO PI integration scenarios to connect heterogeneous systems, while SAP HANA administration, security and authorization were addressed within a multi system landscape. Developers produced HANA artifacts including attribute views, analytic views and calculation views, composite calculation views with variables and input parameters, and SQL Script based stored procedures.
Governance and delivery practices included preparation of client statements of work, as is and to be workshops with business subject matter experts, source systems and feasibility analysis, and risk identification with cross team remediation prior to cutovers. Data migration planning and execution included ETL jobs and migration of more than 50 objects across mock cutovers, dress rehearsals and final cutovers, and transport coordination using SAP LM and CTS++ during the SAP S/4 HANA rollout.

| Workday | Legacy | Workday Absence Management | Absence and Leave Management | HCM | n/a | 2012 | 2012 |
In 2012, Kimberly-Clark implemented Workday Absence Management to centralize absence policies and leave tracking across its enterprise. The Workday Absence Management deployment was executed within the tenant environment with explicit tenant setup, security objects and management hierarchies configured to reflect the company organizational model and absence policy rules.
Configuration work extended beyond absence workflows into adjacent HCM areas, with business processes for Hire, Change Job, Termination, Propose Compensation and Absence Management designed and automated. The implementation used calculated fields, complex business process automation and custom reporting, including Simple, Advanced and Matrix reports, to support absence entitlement calculations, approvals and reporting needs consistent with Absence and Leave Management functional terminology.
Integrations were a core implementation signal, delivered as a mix of inbound and outbound interfaces using EIBs, Cloud Connectors, Workday Studio, Web Services SOAP, WSDL, XML and XSLT document transformation. Explicit integrations targeted payroll and benefits systems and connected Workday to downstream internal and vendor systems, with RaaS and transformed extracts built to feed downstream consumers and to enable payroll and benefits reconciliation.
Governance included domain and business process security policy configuration, iterative test cycles for integrations, security, alerts and custom reports, and formal documentation of technical and functional design specifications. Operational support and rollout coordination involved liaison with HRIT, information systems teams and off shore consultants, plus validation of data loads, issue tracking and resolution to sustain absence and leave operations.
