| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle E-Business Suite | ERP Financial | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2013 | 2014 |
In 2013, Kirby implemented Oracle E-Business Suite as its ERP Financial backbone. The deployment is organized as multiple Oracle E-Business Suite instances operated from Kirby's Houston corporate environment, with an internal Manager Corporate Systems responsible for one full instance and partial responsibility for a second instance.
Oracle E-Business Suite was configured to deliver core financial management capabilities typical of ERP Financial environments, including general ledger and subledger controls and structured financial reporting workflows. Implementation work included RICE development cycles for reports, interfaces, conversions, and extensions, and tight SOX-focused application controls to support auditability and compliance.
Integrations explicitly include BusinessObjects Enterprise for enterprise reporting, Hyperion EPM for consolidation and planning, and downstream data marts for analytics. Operational governance and ongoing support are run through the corporate systems and business applications teams, with a technical lead and two direct reports managing architecture, RICE deliverables, and instance-level separation across environments that together support approximately $2.5 billion in US revenue.

| UKG | Legacy | UKG Pro HCM (ex UltiPro HCM) | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2019 | 2020 |
In 2019 Kirby implemented UKG Pro HCM (ex UltiPro HCM) as its Core HR platform, executing a consolidated HR and payroll conversion that reached successful go-live in January 2019. The project converted payroll processing from Ceridian to UKG Pro HCM and established the application as the system of record for core HR data across the enterprise.
The implementation encompassed payroll and core HR configuration, deployment of a UKG time and attendance system, and subsequent expansion into recruitment and onboarding with a successful go-live in November 2020. Functional workstreams led by the Director, Compensation & HRIS covered timekeeping configuration, time off balance reconciliation where no electronic records previously existed, and compensation administration workflows for more than 5,000 domestic employees.
Operationally the deployment was executed through the HRIS organization, emphasizing data integrity of internal database files, tables, and reports and coordinated data migration activities for time and payroll balances. The UKG Pro HCM (ex UltiPro HCM) environment was used to centralize payroll, timekeeping, recruiting, onboarding, and compensation processes within a single Core HR platform, aligning system configuration with HR policy updates and rewritten time and attendance processes.
Governance and rollout were driven by HR systems leadership, who updated policies, rewrote operational procedures, and prepared quarterly compensation materials for the board level compensation committee. The implementation narrative reflects a centralized HRIS-led governance model, explicit process transformation in time capture and time off accounting, and formalized payroll and compensation cycles for Kirbys domestic workforce.
Both the January 2019 payroll go-live and the November 2020 recruiting and onboarding go-live are recorded as successful, demonstrating staged expansion of UKG Pro HCM (ex UltiPro HCM) capabilities across Kirbys Core HR footprint.

| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle Field Service Cloud (ex TOA ETAdirect) | Field Service Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2012 | 2012 |
In 2012, Kirby implemented Oracle Field Service Cloud (ex TOA ETAdirect) as its Field Service Management platform. The deployment was delivered as part of an Oracle CRM Service implementation covering Field Service, Depot Repair, TeleService, Installed Base, Service Contracts and Preventative Maintenance, positioning Oracle Field Service Cloud (ex TOA ETAdirect) at the center of service operations.
Configuration focused on core Field Service Management capabilities, including centralized scheduling and dispatch, technician mobile enablement for onsite work execution, depot repair lifecycle workflows, tele-service case handling, installed base asset records, service contract management, and preventive maintenance scheduling. The implementation emphasized operational modules that support both reactive service and planned maintenance across Kirby’s maintenance and field technician cohorts.
The solution was integrated within the Oracle CRM Service scope to maintain end to end service record continuity between field activities, depot repairs, and service contracts. Operational coverage targeted Kirby’s service organization, depot facilities, and maintenance teams, aligning installed base data with contract entitlements and maintenance schedules to standardize service execution.
Governance centered on formalizing service workflows and contract enforcement, with configuration governance to control scheduling rules, repair status transitions, and preventive maintenance cadence. Rollout and operational governance prioritized consistent field execution and depot repair processes, enabling the service organization to operate from a unified Field Service Management platform.
