SAP Legacy SAP HCM (HR) Core HR HCM n/a 2013 2013
In 2013, Koenig & Bauer Kammann implemented SAP HCM (HR) as its Core HR solution to support HR and payroll operations. The SAP HCM (HR) rollout focused on centralizing core human resources functionality for payroll and personnel administration within the manufacturing environment. The implementation covered standard SAP HCM modules including PY, PT, PA, OM and ESS/MSS, with explicit responsibilities for technical preparation of payroll, ongoing system maintenance, and error correction performed by inhouse HCM application managers. Functional workflows emphasized payroll processing preparation, personnel administration, organizational management, time management configuration, and employee and manager self service capabilities. Operational ownership remained inhouse, with SAP Inhouse Consultant and Application Manager HCM roles providing support and consultation to HR departments across the company. The landscape included supported interfaces to other systems and active projects documented in the environment, specifically migration of a foreign subsidiary to SAP Fiori for time management and digitization of the personnel request process.

Ultimus Legacy Ultimus Digital Process Automation Suite Process Mining Analytics and BI n/a 2018 2018
In 2018, Koenig & Bauer Kammann deployed Ultimus Digital Process Automation Suite to automate the Inquiry Request Process for spare parts and quotations, using the implementation to surface process intelligence within a Process Mining context. The project targeted the inquiry to quotation business function and was positioned to improve responsiveness and quality across customer service and parts logistics. The implementation leveraged Ultimus Digital Process Automation Suite capabilities for discovery, modeling, automation and measurement, with centrally installed customer and machine parts databases to support form pre population and automated data exchange. Configuration included mandatory field enforcement, priority based completion and extension timers, group based routing for flexible task assignment, plausibility checks to reduce human error and signature controls to enforce approval legitimacy. Architecture and integrations emphasized a web based topology to tie distributed sites together over the Internet, using Ultimus out of the box interfaces and integration tooling to transfer data automatically into the host system. Ultimus selected a German process consultancy and development partner to conduct process discovery in KBA Mödling, to build and test the workflow, and to deploy the process to the appropriate users. Governance and process redesign were executed through structured discovery workshops where required fields, roles and routing rules were defined, enabling traceability and real time status tracking for all participants. Process orchestration was revised to route inquiries dynamically to the correct site, reduce bottlenecks through group tasks, and instrument reporting for continuous optimization. Outcomes reported by Koenig & Bauer Kammann include markedly improved transparency and quote quality, elimination of extensive manual entry where staff had previously re keyed up to 1,000 parts from faxed requests, and a reduction in cycle times from weeks to hours. The automated transfer of completed forms into the host system removed unproductive work and increased the organization responsiveness in spare parts fulfillment.
