Configuration work established Set of Books with Chart of Accounts, Calendar and Currency, and defined flex field structures, value sets, book controls, depreciation methods, asset categories and location hierarchies in the Fixed Assets module. Security and access were implemented through profile options and security rules at site, application, responsibility and user levels, with menus, responsibilities and document sequencing aligned to finance process workflows. With-Holding Tax was configured for the GIFT entity and Oracle E-Business Suite financial configuration mapped to client accounting and withholding requirements.
Data onboarding and integration used WEB ADI and Data Loader along with the Asset Addition Integrator to load master and transactional data into Oracle E-Business Suite, and a technical report was developed to support credit memo invoice processing. For the ING Vysys consolidation the team gathered fixed asset master data from the ING FA team and migrated approximately 100000 assets into the Oracle Fixed Assets module, creating new asset categories where required and calculating depreciation rates and retirements according to Kotak depreciation methodology, then running depreciation to reconcile uploaded asset values.
Project activities included requirements gathering, estimation, interfacing with technical developers, system implementation, testing and third party client support, with application instances provisioned in Test and Production environments. Mapping client business requirements to Oracle E-Business Suite configuration guided cutover planning and established governance for master data, security and finance controls supporting ledger, payables, receivables and asset management functions.
