Workday Absence Management was configured to enforce company rules and to provide audit-ready absence records, supporting standard absence lifecycle processes from request through balance consumption.
Architecturally the implementation was aligned with Workday tenant best practices, and integrations were addressed with Workday Payroll and Workday Time to ensure absence events flowed to payroll calculation and timekeeping. Integration design emphasized event-driven updates for time-off balances and payroll inputs, and the configuration accounted for cross-functional data exchange between absence, time, and payroll modules.
Governance and rollout were centered on an HRIS-led program, with a Workday Payroll and Time Lead responsible for requirements gathering, configuration oversight, testing, documentation, and post-deployment support. Implementation activities followed software development life cycle practices including requirements validation, structured testing, and defined change control, enabling centralized administration of Absence and Leave Management within Labcorp.
