In 2015, Lead Commerce deployed Lead Commerce as an Order Management,Inventory Management,Warehouse Management solution to power order capture and fulfillment directly on its public website. The implementation placed the Lead Commerce application at the center of the company ecommerce stack, handling storefront checkout, order intake, and initial order lifecycle orchestration.
Configuration emphasized order management workflows including order validation, status tracking, centralized order queues and fulfillment orchestration, alongside inventory management capabilities such as SKU level inventory tracking, stock reservations and real time stock visibility. Warehouse Management functionality was configured to generate fulfillment tasks for picking, packing and staged shipment workflows, with role based task assignments sized to the company operations team.
Operationally the system was integrated with the public website to ingest orders and synchronize available inventory with the storefront catalog, creating a single system of record for ecommerce transactions. Implementation scope focused on ecommerce operations and fulfillment processes within Lead Commerce rather than broad enterprise back office integrations.
Governance was structured around centralized order and inventory control, with process rules for order acceptance, inventory reconciliation and fulfillment sequencing to standardize workflows across sales and operations. The Lead Commerce application remains the transactional hub for online order processing and warehouse tasking for the firm.
