In 2018, Leaf Group implemented Oracle Cloud ERP to replace Oracle E-Business Suite, initiating a SaaS based ERP Financial rollout across the company. The Oracle Cloud ERP deployment concentrated on core financial processes including accounting, payables, procurement, expense management and project accounting, with OTBI and transactional reporting instrumented for finance reporting and operational visibility.
Configuration and functional testing centered on Financials, Procurement and Projects modules, with Oracle iExpense configured to replace AppZen for company expense processing and Oracle Payables used for invoice and payment flows. The program included full cycle CRP, SIT and UAT test waves, maintenance of CRP and SIT issue logs, defect resolution and post go live support activities to stabilize month end and transaction processing.
The implementation integrated with the firms planning and consolidation landscape, supporting a Hyperion upgrade and ongoing Hyperion Planning, Essbase and ODI interfaces for PNL, employee and capex planning. Payment and cash flows were integrated via bank interfaces and ACH processing, a bank switch project, credit card transaction feeds migrated from AMEX to SVB Mastercard and FedEx invoicing ingested over EDI sFTP into the Payables Open Interface. Operational feeds were established for daily financial and employee data, including ADP employee feeds, OANDA daily rates, Reflektive and Office Space feeds, and bidirectional interfaces with acquired entities running Sage 100 for invoicing and payments.
Governance emphasized systems analysis, documentation, change control and SOX compliance strengthening, with the Cloud ERP support model formalized to provide ongoing patch, upgrade and support coordination. The program included acquisition integration activities and global consolidation configuration for multiple ledgers including US, AUD, CAD and UK, along with company wide user training for expense and payables workflows and an escalated functional support role to resolve post migration issues.

| Microsoft | Legacy | Microsoft BI (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, SQL Server Reporting) | Analytics and BI | Analytics and BI | n/a | 2012 | 2018 |
In 2012, Leaf Group implemented Microsoft BI (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, SQL Server Reporting) within its Analytics and BI environment. The implementation focused on enhancing a data warehouse of non-financial metrics to support 10-K reporting to the SEC and on maintaining a SharePoint-integrated SSRS reporting environment used across corporate reporting.
The Microsoft BI (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, SQL Server Reporting) deployment used SSIS for ETL workflows to load non-financial metric feeds, SSAS to provide analytical models and cubes for reporting, and SSRS to publish managed reports into SharePoint. Configuration work emphasized semantic modeling and scheduled ETL orchestration to ensure consistent metric definitions for regulatory disclosures.
Operational coverage centered on finance and compliance workflows tied to SEC reporting, with the data warehouse and reporting layer serving downstream reporting consumers. The reporting environment was maintained within SharePoint, with numerous new reports developed and many existing reports modified to reflect updated metric definitions and filing requirements.
Governance activity included ongoing report maintenance and versioned report deployments into the SharePoint SSRS framework, applying report change management and scheduled refreshes to support periodic filing cycles. This work positioned Leaf Group Microsoft BI (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, SQL Server Reporting) within Analytics and BI for sustained regulatory reporting and enterprise reporting operations.
