In 2017 Assurant UK implemented Oracle E-Business Suite to consolidate core finance and supply chain operations, replacing Microsoft Dynamics NAV and establishing a single ERP Financial platform for multinational operations. The implementation targeted both Financials and Supply Chain functions, with the full application name Oracle E-Business Suite reiterated as the primary ERP Financial system for accounting, procurement and order exchange workflows.
The deployment used Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1.3 and included an R11 to R12 upgrade of DB and application software as part of the program. Functional modules configured and delivered included Financials and Supply Chain modules with configuration for warehousing, procurement, exchange functions and customer replenishment workflows to support mobile phone insurance operations and product replenishment.
Integrations implemented included Channel Advisor integration to Oracle Supply Chain to enable excess and redundant product sales via eBay and Amazon, and connectivity work to support web based sales channels. The technical footprint included transition from physical to virtual infrastructure using VMWare, creation of new development environments specifically for LATAM, and infrastructure consolidation for several EU acquisitions including virtual servers, desktop and telephony integration.
Governance was organized as a coordinated programme to enable rollouts to 8 to 10 countries, with delivery to Argentina, Brazil, France and Chile and broader Latin America and European site coverage. Programme activities included management of internal and third party offshore teams, facilitation of support agreements for Oracle systems, and close liaison with local operational teams to plan and implement the process and workflow changes required by the ERP Financial and supply chain rollout.
Operational changes and platform-level projects delivered alongside the Oracle E-Business Suite implementation included O365 deployment and Windows 10 upgrades using SCCM with Quest for Outlook migrations, virtualization projects to reduce physical footprint, and high availability and disaster recovery design workshops. Site moves and operational relocations for Cork and York were coordinated within the scope of the ERP Financial program, aligning infrastructure and application delivery with business continuity plans.

In 2019, Assurant UK implemented Microsoft Power BI to centralize visualization and reporting within its Analytics and BI portfolio. The engagement delivered dashboards and visualizations for analysis, monitoring and management, with targeted scorecards and KPI reporting built for the Finance Department and cross-functional stakeholders.
