| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle Field Service Cloud (ex TOA ETAdirect) | Field Service Management | ERP Services and Operations | DXC Technology | 2018 | 2019 |
In 2018, Little Real Estate implemented Oracle Field Service Cloud to extend field maintenance and service orchestration across its property management operations. The implementation is classified under the Field Service Management category and was designed to support Little Real Estate's portfolio of more than 21,000 properties and 23 offices across Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Gold Coast, and Sunshine Coast.
The Oracle Field Service Cloud deployment was configured to integrate with Little Real Estate's broader Oracle cloud estate, notably Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service and JD Edwards, and to ingest trust accounting feeds for financial alignment. Functional capabilities implemented included field workforce scheduling, service assignment orchestration, and planning data flows that feed maintenance activity into revenue and expense models. The configuration leveraged Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service models and SmartView to ensure that field service activity could be assessed within the same budgeting and forecasting workflows used by finance.
DXC Technology engaged through its DXC Red Rock team and partner Ndevr assisted with solution design, model building, on-site user training, and integration work, collaborating with Little Real Estate to define hierarchies and upload planning models. User testing for the integrated cloud platform completed in under two weeks and the combined go-live for planning and associated modules occurred in 3.5 months. Operational coverage spanned finance, property management, and operations staff, enabling cost center owners across offices to view and update revenue targets directly in the system.
Governance changes centralized planning inputs by empowering cost center owners to maintain their own data, while finance moved from manual reconciliation to analysis and oversight. Explicit outcomes reported included shorter planning cycle time through real-time data access, faster and more reliable financial reports, increased staff satisfaction, reduced headcount costs through more efficient task allocation, and a reported payback period of 1.5 years after moving to Oracle Cloud. The integrated configuration allowed Little Real Estate to support expansion into maintenance services by integrating Oracle Field Service Cloud with existing financial planning systems as the business scales.
