In 2020, Loadsmart implemented Oracle NetSuite ERP to centralize and standardize core finance operations. The deployment is categorized as ERP Financial and was positioned to support accounting close and reporting across the finance organization.
Configuration emphasized ERP Financial modules aligned with the company accounting workflows, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed asset management, prepaid expense tracking, accruals, corporate credit card reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and month end journal processing. Financial reporting and vendor cost tracking capabilities were provisioned to support balance sheet and income statement review workflows and to maintain recurring monthly analytic reports and contract management tracking.
The implementation integrated with upstream order management processes and with banking and corporate card feeds to automate reconciliations and reduce manual touch points, while contract and vendor tracking workflows supported cross functional expense ownership. Role based access controls and transaction level controls were configured to reflect finance responsibilities, enabling Senior Accountant and Staff Accountant roles to manage reconciliations, approvals, and audit trails.
Governance was placed within Finance with a centralized month end cadence, documented policies and procedures, and an emphasis on process improvement and automation led by accounting staff. Training and support were organized for the Chicago finance location and cross functional partners to standardize close tasks, vendor cost tracking, and ongoing system stewardship using Oracle NetSuite ERP.
