Insightsoftware Legacy Insightsoftware Jet Analytics and BI Analytics and BI n/a 2007 2007 In 2007, Loyalty NZ deployed Insightsoftware Jet for Analytics and BI to standardize finance reporting and month end routines. The deployment targeted the accounting function, with chartered accountants Bayley and Tim configuring report templates directly inside Excel. Insightsoftware Jet was used as an in spreadsheet reporting layer to produce monthly management reports and to support year end reporting. Implementation centered on Jet Reports as an Excel tab that executes preconfigured report templates, each Excel tab providing distinct functionality. Configuration work was performed by Bayley and Tim during initial setup, the environment required minimal installation effort, and the team planned to add the scheduler module in Jet Reports to automate report execution when staff are away. The scheduler module was explicitly cited as the next configuration objective to remove manual run steps. Operational coverage remained within finance and accounting, supporting regular month end cycles and statutory year end close workflows. No external system integrations were specified in the source, the implementation functioned as an embedded Excel reporting layer that leveraged existing spreadsheets and finance workflows. Governance and process change were kept lightweight, with direct ownership by the two accountants who set up templates and operated the reports, and with intentions to formalize automated runs via the scheduler to reduce manual intervention. Bayley reported Insightsoftware Jet and Jet Reports saved three quarters of a day, was inexpensive to procure, and quick to install. He also indicated interest in future product versions and in leveraging the local distributor for additional expertise.
