SAP ERP ECC 6.0 was placed under a centralized SAP application ownership model accountable for configuration, operations and governance within the regional IT business application function.
The implementation focused on ERP Financial capabilities typical of SAP ERP ECC 6.0, including financial accounting and ledgers, accounts payable and receivable, fixed asset accounting, and financial reporting controls, with configuration workstreams for master data management and transactional controls. Workflows and approval automation for common finance processes were configured to align with corporate accounting practices and to support period end and statutory reporting processes.
Operational coverage extended beyond Malaysia, with the SAP application owner and the IT business application department providing SAP operation support for Lumileds plants in Asia Pacific, Europe and America.
