In 2025, Madsens Custom Cabinets implemented Epicor Prism as part of its Manufacturing ERP deployment alongside Epicor Kinetic. The small Canadian manufacturer configured Epicor Prism to centralize production scheduling and supplier communications across its shop floor and procurement workflows.
Epicor Prism was configured to handle due-date updates and to formalize RFQ and supplier communication processes, leveraging Prism scheduling and task orchestration capabilities common to the Manufacturing ERP category. The deployment included estimator-facing project update screens and automated supplier messaging to reduce manual project updates.
The implementation linked Epicor Prism with Epicor Kinetic to maintain continuity of master data, production planning, and order visibility between the two Epicor products. Integrations focused on syncing schedule changes and procurement requests so production scheduling, estimating, and purchasing teams worked from the same event stream across the Canadian operation.
Rollout and governance centered on standardizing schedule update ownership and formalizing supplier communication workflows, with change control applied to scheduling rules and RFQ templates. Operational scope targeted production scheduling, estimating, procurement, and IT processes to reduce ad hoc manual updates.
Madsens reported reduced manual project updates and projected IT savings of three to four hours per week and estimator savings of about three hours per week in Canada following the Epicor Prism deployment. Epicor Prism remains the central Manufacturing ERP application for schedule orchestration and supplier communication in this implementation.
