The deployment introduced a web-based CREALIS configurator to enforce technical validity and correct pricing during offer creation, embedding product configuration and pricing logic into the sales process. The implementation configured standard CPQ capabilities, including rules-based product configuration, pricing validation and quote generation, along with order capture through the configurator. Crealis CPQ Cloud Edition was used to centralize product and pricing rules, enabling sales teams to produce technically valid, correctly priced offers as part of a single configurator-driven workflow. The rollout was targeted at sales and quotation use within the Marine Engines unit, and the web-based configurator was put into production for incoming orders. MAN Truck & Bus processed all incoming orders via the configurator since January 2016, reflecting operational coverage across quotation intake and order processing for the unit. Governance focused on embedding product and pricing rules into the configurator to prevent invalid combinations, and the CREALIS web-based rollout structured sales workflows around configurator-driven quote creation. The project documented approximately 91 percent time savings in the quotation process and sustained configurator-based order processing since January 2016, with the Crealis CPQ Cloud Edition serving as the central Configure Price Quote (CPQ) application for sales and quotation functions. |
