| Microsoft | Microsoft Dynamics NAV | Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central | ERP Financial | ERP Financial Management | Dynamics Square | 2019 | 2020 | In 2019, Manufacturing Technologies Association upgraded Microsoft Dynamics NAV to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central as a cloud deployment, positioning the implementation to address core ERP Financial requirements. The deployment targeted ERP Financial capabilities across finance and sales functions and included a parallel upgrade of their Dynamics CRM to Dynamics 365 Sales to unify member and customer engagement data. Dynamics Square served as the implementation partner and is the ongoing support provider in the second year following the upgrade. The implementation focused on financial management and receivables processes, with explicit configuration of Accounts Receivable workflows and the creation of Accounts Receivable Aging reporting using Power BI. Sales reporting constructs were developed to improve sales visibility and to align sales ledger data with member engagement records in Dynamics 365 Sales. Customization work began on the customer NAV 2016 instance before executing the upgrade to Dynamics 365 Business Central Online to preserve configured accounting and transactional logic. Architecturally, the solution was provisioned as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Online, integrated with Dynamics 365 Sales for CRM continuity, and instrumented with Power BI for analytics and reporting. The integration approach preserved transactional continuity between ERP Financial ledgers and CRM member records, enabling synchronized customer master data and sales transactions. The deployment retained Microsoft platform continuity by upgrading named Microsoft products rather than replacing with non-Microsoft systems. Governance and operational coverage centered on finance, sales, and member engagement teams within the United Kingdom based association. Dynamics Square established an ongoing support relationship after the upgrade to provide timely support and reduce prior partner turnover. The association expressed that integrated Dynamics 365 Business Central and Dynamics 365 Sales, combined with customized reporting and Power BI analytics, improved workflow efficiency and enhanced productivity while enabling better engagement with members. |
