SAP Legacy SAP S/4 HANA ERP Financial ERP n/a 2020 2020
In 2020 MAPFRE Insurance deployed SAP S/4 HANA as its ERP Financial platform, establishing a centralized finance backbone to support procurement integration and financial reporting. The decision to adopt ARIBA as the procurement tool was made in 2019 after vendor evaluation, and planning work in 2019 and 2020 defined a Global Procurement Model to run in ARIBA alongside SAP S/4 HANA. The implementation centered on SAP S/4 HANA financial modules integrated natively with ARIBA to enable electronic provider collaboration, process automation, and continuous updates. Configuration work focused on procurement to finance handoffs, standardizing purchase-to-pay touchpoints, and aligning master data and supplier catalogs between ARIBA and SAP S/4 HANA. Integrations were explicit between ARIBA and the financial modules of SAP S/4 HANA, supporting accounts payable and procurement workflow orchestration consistent with ERP Financial practices. Operational rollout was scoped to companies fiscally based in Spain, with a planned cutover of those entities to the ARIBA-based Global Procurement Model in April 2021, excluding MAPFRE Asistencia. Governance activity between 2019 and 2020 established the new Global Procurement Model, defining centralized procurement processes, supplier collaboration rules, and update cadences to keep ARIBA and SAP S/4 HANA aligned. The narrative reflects MAPFRE Insurance SAP S/4 HANA ERP Financial implementation supporting a coordinated procurement and finance operating model.

SAP Legacy SAP SuccessFactors Compensation Compensation Management HCM n/a 2020 2020
In 2020, MAPFRE Insurance implemented SAP SuccessFactors Compensation as part of a Compensation Management rollout across its HR ecosystem. This initiative was positioned against prior consolidation work and targeted an entity level sizing and efficiency effort at the HQ covering approximately 500 employees, while aligning with group level integration efforts across multiple local HR tools. The Sizing and Efficiency project conducted September 2018 to January 2019 produced a questionnaire for individual activities and workloads, cross referenced with productivity indicators, and identified operational pain points and process improvement opportunities across the full range of functions. Those outputs informed the configuration of SAP SuccessFactors Compensation, guiding mapping of roles and workload indicators to compensation components, defining pay cycles, compensation forms, budget controls and approval workflows consistent with Compensation Management practices. An Integration Project completed July 2018 to November 2018 consolidated 24 local HR tools into SuccessFactors Central Employee and Talent, Evaluation and Compensation modules, creating a centralized employee record and harmonized talent and evaluation data feeding compensation processes. Integration work focused on data harmonization, role mapping and aligning evaluation outputs to compensation eligibility and budgeting, enabling the SAP SuccessFactors Compensation module to operate from a single source of truth for employee and performance data. The Dynamic Structure Project executed March 2018 to August 2018 designed a network structure based on squads, tribes, collaborative roles and Scrum methodology, and introduced a project based structure with OKRs and adaptation of the Clarity project management tool plus targeted change management. Governance efforts included participation in the proposal for the Group's new Corporate Governance model and updates to approval matrices and workflow orchestration for compensation decisions to align with the flatter network structure and collaborative roles. Rollout was executed in selected areas with planning for scaled deployment, combining HR process redesign, centralized data, and tool adaptation to align compensation workflows with new organizational structures. The implementation linked SAP SuccessFactors Compensation, SuccessFactors Central Employee and Talent, and Evaluation modules to institutional governance changes and operational redesign.
