In 2013, Maserati implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as an ERP Financial system. The engagement comprised a study and implementation integrating SAP ERP ECC 6.0 with the existing BaaN IV management environment and the SAP landscape used by Fiat Auto to cover Maserati 27s finance processes and targeted portions of purchasing and logistics.
Configuration work concentrated on SAP FI, CO and CO-PA capability sets, aligning general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, cost controlling, and profitability analysis workflows with Maserati financial requirements. The implementation of SAP ERP ECC 6.0 included month end closing routines, cost calculation, variance analysis, and measurement of MOD efficiency, executed within FI-CO-PA and reconciled against BaaN IV records where required.
Integration established transactional and master data synchronization between BaaN IV and SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to ensure consistent financial postings and to support parts of purchasing and logistics workflows shared between Maserati and Fiat Auto systems. Operational coverage targeted Maserati SpA 27s finance organization and the Industrial Controller function, with cross-system reconciliation points maintained to support dual-system operations during the program.
Governance followed a study phase and staged implementation with controller-led operational handover, providing direct support to the Industrial Controller to execute end-of-month closures and sustain ongoing cost and variance analysis on both BaaN IV and SAP FI-CO-PA systems. The engagement emphasizes SAP ERP ECC 6.0 ERP Financial alignment with purchasing and logistics touch points while preserving integrated financial controls.

Governance is delivered through Google Workspace administrative controls and organizational unit segmentation to manage access, compliance controls, and document lifecycle across teams. Maserati Google Workspace (Formerly Google G-Suite) Collaboration supports cross functional collaboration across corporate teams and is embedded in the company's digital channels.
