In 2015, Mastek implemented SAP Ariba Invoice as an AP Automation initiative to automate subcontractor invoice processing across its global operations. The deployment targeted accounts payable workflows that intersect with workforce management and talent acquisition subcontractors serving customers in the UK, Europe, Americas, Middle East and Saudi, and APAC.
The implementation configured SAP Ariba Invoice to handle invoice capture, supplier invoice workflow routing, electronic approvals, exception management, and subcontractor lifecycle management, aligning invoice processing with supplier onboarding and partner ecosystem controls. Configuration centered on centralized AP Automation rules, automated invoice validation and matching, and configurable approval hierarchies to enforce contract and policy compliance within accounts payable.
Operationally the solution was integrated with internal finance and vendor management workflows to enable timely invoice acceptance and payment orchestration, and it served as the system of record for subcontractor invoicing across business units. Governance included standardized supplier onboarding, lifecycle controls, and defined process ownership within talent acquisition and workforce management teams, and the rollout supported consolidation of subcontractor processes after mergers and acquisitions with the explicit objective to ensure on time invoice processing.
