The Aptean bcFood ERP configuration emphasized category-aligned modules including lot traceability and batch control, recipe and formulation management, inventory and warehouse control, production scheduling and shop floor data capture, procurement and accounts payable interfaces, and quality assurance and regulatory recordkeeping. System configuration included data structures for ingredient and finished goods masters, lot genealogy, and quality test result recording, which were implemented to support traceability and food safety workflows. Aptean bcFood ERP was restated in operational documentation to ensure consistent reference during training and governance.
Integrations were implemented with the existing Microsoft stack, using Active Directory and Microsoft Entra for identity and access management, Office 365 and Exchange for transactional communications and document workflows, and SharePoint for controlled document storage. The application was deployed on virtual server infrastructure managed by the internal IT team, and endpoint controls and security posture integrated with the company EDR and MDM tooling to maintain operational security. These integrations allowed Aptean bcFood ERP to interoperate with established IT services for authentication, email, document management, and infrastructure provisioning.
