The project delivered core compensation and benefits functionality, with explicit implementation of Variable Remuneration processes, definition evaluation and remuneration by objectives, and management of compensation processes via SuccessFactors. The rollout included a flexible remuneration system, establishment of an Employee Benefits system, and the creation of Macros to automate employee database maintenance and repetitive data tasks.
Design and delivery activities covered the employee portal experience, where creatives and internal communications were prepared to support adoption, and the team participated actively in the creation and implementation of My MeliáBenefits, a centralizing portal for all employee benefits. Organizational structure workstreams defined, standardized and optimized the organizational structure in SAP, and the program executed migration from SAP to Employee Central as the authoritative employee data source.
Governance focus emphasized standardization of the employee data record and the embedding of compensation and benefits workflows into the new Core HR platform. In 2019, Meliá Hotels International implemented Cegid REVORETAIL in a Retail Management deployment spanning more than 150 properties in Spain. The Cegid Revo suite is used to manage food and beverage and retail point-of-sale operations, improving order automation including self-order and enabling integration with hotel systems. Public coverage and product capability descriptions indicate module usage of Cegid Revo XEF for hospitality POS workflows and Revo Retail for traditional retail POS workflows to cover restaurants, bars, outlets, and retail shops.
The implementation architecture centers on distributed POS endpoints at outlet level with a centralized back-office for catalog, pricing, and configuration management, consistent with Retail Management functional patterns. Functional capabilities implemented include order automation and self-ordering flows, centralized product and price catalog management, transaction capture at point of sale, and reporting and reconciliation functions.
Integration work focuses on connecting the Cegid Revo suite to hotel operational systems, supporting posting to guest folios and shared billing workflows between F&B, retail outlets and property management systems, while maintaining outlet-level POS autonomy. Operational scope covers the F&B and retail business functions across properties in Spain, aligning POS operations with hotel check-in and billing processes.
Governance emphasized centralized configuration control and standardized POS templates for menus and pricing, combined with outlet-level configuration to support local operations. Cegid REVORETAIL serves as the Retail Management platform for Meliá to unify POS operations across Food and Beverage and retail touchpoints while enabling automated ordering and integration with core hotel systems.

In 2019, Melia Hotels International deployed the Cegid Revo suite and adopted Cegid REVOGENIUS to serve Analytics and BI for its F&B and retail operations. The deployment manages F&B and retail point of sale across dozens of properties, enabling self-ordering and streamlined guest F&B workflows while funneling transactional data into a centralized analytics layer.
Cegid REVOGENIUS was configured to ingest transactional POS data from the Revo environment and to deliver role-oriented dashboards, consolidated sales and item-level reporting, and scheduled operational reports. The Analytics and BI implementation emphasized standardization of KPIs for F&B sales, inventory movement, and outlet-level performance monitoring to support operational decision making.
Operational coverage spans properties in Spain and international locations where Meliá operates, with data feeds from individual hotel POS instances aggregated into the central reporting environment. The architecture organized property-level POS capture alongside a central Cegid REVOGENIUS analytics layer to enable cross-property analysis and consolidated reporting.
Governance and rollout followed a phased, property-by-property approach with centralized analytics ownership and role-based access controls for regional F&B managers and property operations teams. Deployment work focused on mapping POS item hierarchies, aligning outlet codes across sites, and defining report schedules and extracts to support guest F&B workflows and retail reconciliation.
