Oracle Oracle PeopleSoft ERP Oracle Cloud ERP ERP Financial ERP Financial Management n/a 2017 2017
In 2017, Memorial Health Services implemented Oracle Cloud ERP as its central ERP Financial platform to consolidate financial and HR transactional processing across a multi-hospital, affiliate system. The project explicitly targeted Oracle Cloud ERP alongside Oracle Cloud HCM and SCM components to move the health system from an on-premises PeopleSoft footprint to Oracle Cloud SaaS, PaaS and IaaS hosting models. The implementation included redeployment activities from Oracle PeopleSoft ERP, specifically migrating self-hosted PeopleSoft FSCM v8.8 to Oracle Cloud ERP and SCM and converting a heavily customized PeopleSoft HCM v9.1 to a vanilla Oracle Cloud HCM configuration. Functional modules and capabilities implemented included a new financial chart of accounts, project and grant labor distribution into payroll accounting lines, inventory management with Fluid mobile inventory and barcode scanning, eProcurement, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and asset management, alongside core payroll and HCM processes. Operational coverage encompassed Finance and HR business functions, payroll, supply chain and materials management, and affiliate procurement processes, with change management and training delivered to support adoption. The program was executed for a multi-hospital and affiliate scope and staffed with a combined onsite and offsite consulting team, seven functional leads, five technical resources, and three change management and training resources, driven by a single program project plan and defined deliverables. Governance and process controls were enforced using Agile accelerators and formal scope mechanisms, including Scope Scorecards, Change and Decision Records, and RICEW tracking dashboards, with audience appropriate project status dashboards presented to executive leadership and project sponsors. The rollout included business process realignment activities such as consolidating pay cycles, aligning HR structures to the new Finance budget and department structure, and driving affiliate adoption of standardized eProcurement, AP, AR and AM processes as part of the Oracle Cloud ERP deployment.

MicroStrategy Legacy MicroStrategy ONE Analytics Analytics and BI Analytics and BI n/a 2014 2018
In 2014, Memorial Health Services deployed MicroStrategy ONE Analytics as its enterprise Analytics and BI platform to standardize reporting across its Southern California hospital network and to support management and clinical reporting. The implementation targeted both Web and Desktop report consumers and involved requirements gathering with management users to deliver interactive documents and scorecards that surface evidence based best practice metrics. The deployment included creation of MicroStrategy ONE Analytics objects such as conditional, transformational, dimensional and compound metrics, filters, prompts, templates and formatted reports, along with custom groups and consolidations. Teams built Intelligent Cubes, datasets from OLAP services, derived metrics and view filters, and applied ApplySimple and ApplyComparison functions for complex metrics, while designing dashboards with selectors like radio buttons, check boxes, sliders and button bars for interactive analysis. Architecturally the environment used MicroStrategy components including Desktop, Architect, Web, Narrowcast Server, Enterprise Manager and Object Manager, integrated with Oracle 9.1 and Oracle 10g databases, Informatica PowerCenter ETL, and enterprise SQL based data warehouses. Work included importing tables from the warehouse catalog, creating logical tables, building transformations for week over week analysis, and close coordination with the ETL team for data validation and SQL verification. Governance and rollout encompassed development lifecycle controls and testing, managing migrations of MicroStrategy projects and objects from Development to Testing to Production, producing design and technical specification documents, and coordinating test plans and usage scenarios with managers. VLDB property tuning, SQL validation against the warehouse, troubleshooting of prompts filters templates and consolidations, and optimization of reports were part of operational governance to improve execution and maintainability. Deliverables included interactive dashboards and scorecards produced with MicroStrategy ONE Analytics, custom drill maps and drill across options, and Narrowcast enabled distribution for formatted output. Baseline standard documentation created during the program directly helped the organizations baseline group improve quality of service and resolve tickets faster, and report optimization work improved execution characteristics of deployed reports.
