NetSol Technologies Legacy NetSol Technologies NFS Ascent Lease Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2020 2020
In 2020, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia implemented NetSol Technologies NFS Ascent for Lease Management to centralize lease administration across its APAC AAP markets, with operational support provided from a Hub COC team based in Malaysia. The engagement positioned NetSol Technologies NFS Ascent as the primary Lease Management application interfacing between market business units, the regional office, and external vendors, with on-site coordination and support responsibilities assigned to the Market IT Business Analyst and COC operations. The implementation focused on configuring core Lease Management capabilities within NetSol Technologies NFS Ascent, including contract lifecycle management, billing orchestration, asset and portfolio reporting, and extensible API endpoints for downstream integration. Functional workstreams included documenting Requirements Specifications and Functional Specifications, creating and reviewing test scenarios and test cases, and supporting database modelling and reporting configuration to align system outputs with business needs. Integrations and operational coverage were managed through Ascent API analysis and implementation support, close coordination with the regional IT support team for system patching and deployments, and standardized release planning from the COC. Day to day operational processes routed incidents and requests through Jira ticketing, with the Market IT Business Analyst acting as first point of contact for escalations, and providing liaison services between markets and the vendor throughout the project life cycle. Governance and process transformation centered on establishing and maintaining IT processes and guidelines, continual updating of a knowledge based database, and formalizing change management through analysis of change requests and release prioritization. Standardization efforts were explicitly aimed at ensuring consistent solutions and reuse across AAP markets, while supervision and monitoring focused on vendor service performance, technical support quality, and adherence to documented RS and FS.
