In 2014 Metrobank implemented Oracle E-Business Suite as its ERP Financial platform, establishing a centralized financial management backbone for corporate finance and treasury operations. The Oracle E-Business Suite deployment was positioned to support core financial workflows across the bank, aligning ERP Financial capabilities with enterprise accounting, cash management and treasury oversight.
Configuration focused on standard financial management modules common to ERP Financial deployments, including general ledger orchestration, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management and financial reporting. Implementation work included regular application deployments, binary fixpack and CPU patching, and automation for repeatable processes, using scripting and middleware orchestration to reduce manual operational steps.
The Oracle E-Business Suite implementation was integrated into a broad middleware and application stack, explicitly including Oracle Data Integration ODI, Oracle Service Bus OSB, Oracle BI Publisher OBIEE, Oracle Traffic Director load balancing, and Oracle WebLogic servers. Integrations extended to core banking and batch systems such as Oracle Flexcube Universal Banking, Infosys Finacle, BMC ControlM for batch scheduling, IBM WebSphere Application Server, IBM HTTP Server, Apache Tomcat, IBM App Connect Enterprise ACE, IBM Infosphere Datastage, Tibco, Jasper Reports and DMZ Moveit, enabling end-to-end financial messaging, reporting and scheduled processing across Development, Test and Production environments.
Operational governance was driven by a dedicated middleware administration function that handled installation, build, maintenance and support of middleware technologies, monitored server health and performed tuning and performance monitoring. The operational pattern included cross-team disaster recovery participation, technical support for integration connectivity, and creation of automation scripts using WLST, shell and WSAdmin to support deployments and middleware lifecycle management, with direct involvement in bank core banking projects for Philippine Savings Bank and Metrobank core banking initiatives.

| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle Flexcube | Core Banking | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2017 | 2017 |
In 2017 Metrobank implemented Oracle Flexcube as a Core Banking platform to support card and loan processing workflows. Metrobank Oracle Flexcube Core Banking work concentrated on moving account, customer and loan data into the new system while enabling downstream reporting for card operations and loan payment schedules.
The implementation scope included Metrobank Card Corporation activities executed between January 2018 and January 2019 across Makati and BGC Taguig, Philippines, with primary responsibilities centered on the design and development of migration programs for Systematics data files into Oracle Flexcube. Engineers developed and tested a file migration application on a COBOL mainframe, produced post process reconciliation reports, and coded batch applications to extract customer information and generate customer loan payment schedules.
Functional modules and capabilities implemented emphasized data migration, batch processing, and reporting transformation that feed Oracle Flexcube transaction and customer records. Technical workstreams included Cobol and JCL program development and testing, the creation of Visual Basic and Excel Macros to convert mainframe reports into readable formats, and the generation of technical design documents to capture application requirements and target data mappings.
Integrations centered on Systematics mainframe file feeds into Oracle Flexcube and on batch orchestration to populate core account and loan tables, supporting card and loan servicing business functions. Governance and rollout activities documented information gathering and analysis processes, enforced testing cycles through technical design artifacts, and embedded post process reporting to validate migration fidelity prior to full production cutover.
