In 2001, Minsur implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0. The deployment migrated its prior SAP R/3 environment to SAP ERP ECC 6.0 in the ERP Financial category, centralizing core financial and ERP processes across its Peruvian mining units while maintaining coordination with Brazilian operations.
The SAP ERP ECC 6.0 rollout was built on an Intel hardware stack running Microsoft Windows and Microsoft SQL Server, and incorporated industry specific and platform components including IS-OIL and later IS-MINE functionality, BW BI reporting versions 3.50 and 7.00, Portal 6.00 and 7.01, and Solution Manager 4.0 and 7.0. The program included ERP enhancement packages EHP 3 and EHP 4 and a Unicode upgrade to ERP 6.00 to support expanded character set requirements and platform interoperability.
Technical architecture extended beyond the core ERP Financial system to a private cloud for SAP services covering ERP, BI and Portal workloads, a corporate virtualization program that standardized server hardware and software support tools, and a Windows 2012 server domain for universal authentication and mobility between mining units. Network and communications implementations ran in parallel, including satellite, microwave, WiFi and dedicated digital WAN links, CCTV deployments, cellular service provisioning for mining units, and migration of corporate mail to Office365.
Operational governance emphasized centralized administration, operation, security, support and maintenance of IT infrastructure for Peruvian units with coordination across Brazil, placing IT accountability for technical and economic management of projects. Telephony modernization accompanied the SAP program, with a Nortel Networks implementation completed in 2000 and 2001 that introduced IP trunks and reduced costs while increasing system flexibility, and a subsequent Cisco IP telephony deployment in 2011 and 2012 across the Peru Mining Division.

In 2016, Minsur implemented Navent Bumeran.com as an Applicant Tracking System. The deployment used the Bumeran.com customer portal embedded on Minsur's public careers pages to capture external applicants and manage open roles.
Navent Bumeran.com was configured to handle job posting distribution, candidate application intake, resume capture, and candidate status tracking consistent with Applicant Tracking System workflows. The implementation centered on publishing vacancies to the Bumeran portal, hosting application forms, and consolidating candidate profiles within the portal for recruiter review.
Operational coverage focused on external recruitment and talent acquisition activities driven through the corporate website, with recruiters and hiring managers using the Bumeran customer portal for screening and pipeline progression. Governance emphasized centralized posting and standardized application workflows managed within the Navent Bumeran.com portal, with application data retained in the vendor hosted environment embedded on Minsur's site.

In 2018, Minsur deployed Microsoft Azure Cognitive Services (AI) to augment visual control during the treatment of process water at the San Rafael mine in Puno, Peru. The project used Microsoft Azure Video Analytics combined with Cognitive Services as a focused Cognitive Computing implementation to ingest and analyze video feeds for inspection and safety monitoring of the water treatment process. The deployment explicitly centers on Microsoft Azure Cognitive Services (AI) to provide computer vision capabilities for operational inspection workflows.
Arkano led the implementation, integrating on site camera streams with Azure Video Analytics and configuring Cognitive Services models for image and event recognition. Functional capabilities implemented include real time video ingestion, automated object detection and classification, event inference using Cognitive Services, and alerting workflows directed to operations and safety stakeholders. The architecture emphasizes a cloud based video analytics pipeline that processes camera feeds and surfaces structured insights for downstream operational use.
Operational coverage is scoped to the San Rafael mine, impacting water treatment operations, plant operators, and health safety and environment teams through centralized visual control and automated monitoring. Governance and process changes focused on embedding automated visual checks into existing inspection routines, with Arkano supporting rollout and operational handover. The stated outcome was a more efficient and safer visual control process for water treatment at Minsur, realized through Cognitive Computing driven video analytics.
