In 2020, Mundipharma implemented SAP S/4 HANA as its core ERP Financial platform to centralize transactional finance and operational processes. The SAP S/4 HANA implementation progressed from blueprint through execution to stabilization, with explicit coverage of finance, logistics and supply chain capabilities, and with configuration workstreams addressing compliance and security controls. Functional scope emphasized standard ERP Financial workflows such as general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, inventory valuation and logistics orchestration, while the program team sized for delivery included eight direct reports, a program core of 65 onshore contractors, more than 30 internal project resources and an offshore systems integrator pool of over 50 consultants. Operational integrations and program inter-dependencies were managed alongside a global FSSC rollout and the divestiture of the consumer healthcare business, reflecting coordinated cutover sequencing and data readiness activities. The program also owned the AMS RFP and SOW processes for post go live support, partnering with global procurement on vendor management of contractors, the systems integrator and SAP, and establishing AMS policy and procedures prior to handover. End to end governance was formalized through fact based status reporting, operation and steering committees, design authorities and change request boards, all driven by metric based KPI readouts to support decision making. Change management and communications were structured across internal and external audiences with defined training and capability building to support adoption across finance, procurement and supply chain teams. Program execution included budget forecasting, management and accountability for a program budget in excess of $60 million, and maintained delivery momentum while managing multiple other organizational transformations. SAP S/4 HANA served as the core ERP Financial backbone for Mundipharma, aligning IT delivery, global process standardization and governance for the company’s enterprise finance and operations functions.

Finance Integrations and cutover sequencing were explicit delivery responsibilities, and the delivery lead managed data migration and testing activities for the T&E integration points. Program governance used alternating multi wave teams to support the global roll out, and the team drove a business case to establish a hybrid onshore and offshore data team model. The S/4HANA Delivery Lead simplified the finance integrations delivery team structure, navigated significant turnover in data and test roles, and managed the relationship with the YASH system integrator to stabilize delivery. Explicit outcomes recorded by the delivery team include an improved working relationship with the SI and approval of a hybrid resourcing model for data work. The Concur T&E implementation was a core IT stream tied to finance integration and cutover, and parallel work on SAP MBC prompted a revisit of the approved business case and a subsequent change of banking strategy.
