Oracle Legacy Oracle PeopleSoft ERP ERP Financial ERP n/a 2011 2018
In 2011, Mutual of Omaha implemented Oracle PeopleSoft ERP as its ERP Financial system. The deployment targeted enterprise finance operations from the Omaha, Nebraska headquarters and supported corporate General Ledger and reporting workflows across the insurer. A contracted Senior Business Systems Analyst and Project Manager led a major upgrade to Oracle PeopleSoft Financials 9.2 in 2014, directing functional and technical documentation, production support, monitoring, troubleshooting, validation, and testing to enable a timely and interruption-free transition. The upgrade work included configuration of core financial modules and the establishment of operational run books and monitoring processes to stabilize the environment. Oracle PeopleSoft ERP configuration emphasized financial controls and continuity of month end and reconciliation processes. Implementation and upgrade focused on General Ledger Accounting and reporting, with a deliberate consolidation of reporting logic into a small set of managed queries. Reporting rationalization included a 95 percent reduction in available PeopleSoft queries to streamline report accuracy and governance, achieved through stakeholder requirements gathering and query redesign. The project involved ongoing engagement with PeopleSoft vendors to coordinate large scale integration work and ensure compatibility of interfaced financial feeds. Governance changes included the definition of security metrics for roles, permission lists, and security workbooks to strictly control data access and support auditability. End user training programs and structured validation tests were delivered to finance teams to operationalize new PeopleSoft functionality and to reduce production support incidents. Operational scope covered finance departments across the enterprise and established monitoring and support workflows for continued financial systems stability.

Fiserv Legacy Fiserv Signature Bank Platform Core Banking ERP Services and Operations n/a 2018 2018
In 2018, Mutual of Omaha executed systems integration testing and early rollout activities for the Fiserv Signature Bank Platform as part of its Core Banking initiatives. The program prioritized validation of branch operations and transaction processing while translating requirements into operational readiness artifacts. The implementation work concentrated on configuring Core Banking functional areas such as account setup, deposit and withdrawal processing, and branch transaction workflows within the Fiserv Signature Bank Platform. Business systems analysts finalized requirements, authored structured training materials for internal and external users, and translated test cases into repeatable validation scripts for integrations testing. Integrations testing was conducted in close collaboration with branch operations teams to validate interfaces and data flows across operational touch points and to resolve instances of conflicting or inaccurate data discovered during testing. Testing scope explicitly incorporated branch audit trails and control points, which were captured in test plans and issue logs to drive remediation activities. Governance and process responsibilities included leading branch audits, evaluating findings, managing follow up on audit results, and implementing necessary resolutions to both system configuration and branch procedures. The engagement positioned Mutual of Omaha to operate the Fiserv Signature Bank Platform for Core Banking support of branch operations and compliance workflows.
