In 2022, Mynt implemented Apple Pay on its public website as a Payment Processing option to handle consumer checkout payments. The Apple Pay implementation was embedded into the web checkout flow to provide tokenized card acceptance and native Apple Wallet authentication for browser and mobile Safari sessions. This deployment establishes Apple Pay as the primary web channel payment method within the company storefront.
Mynt configured Apple Pay to use client-side payment request flows and tokenization, routing payment tokens to its server-side payment processing infrastructure for authorization and settlement. The integration work included checkout UX updates, merchant session provisioning, and new server endpoints to accept and process Apple Pay tokens while preserving PCI scoped interactions between the browser and backend. Governance and operational ownership were organized around eCommerce and finance teams to manage checkout workflow changes, payment reconciliation, and ongoing support for the website channel.
