| Frontier Software | Legacy | Frontier Software iChris | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2014 | 2014 |
In 2014 National Art School implemented Frontier Software iChris as its Core HR platform. The deployment was part of an HRIS program managed while the HR Manager provided generalist HR and payroll support to 260 employees, reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer at the independent higher education institution.
The implementation encompassed Core HR functionality including employee data management, role and position control, and payroll processing consistent with the fortnightly in-house payroll cadence described by the HR team. The program included the rollout of a CHRIS21 HRIS instance and the HR21 employee self service portal to enable employee access to records and routine HR workflows, and configuration work supported recruitment, onboarding, performance review cycles, learning and development processes, and workers compensation case management.
Operational coverage focused on central HR and payroll administration for the School, end to end recruitment including executive hires and academic panel workflows, and management of award compliance and contract amendments under Fair Work and the Award. The system supported the annual People and Culture Survey process and served as the authoritative record for employment terms and return to work coordination.
Governance adjustments accompanied the technical rollout, with the HR Manager partnering with leadership and stakeholders to embed best practice approaches across the employee lifecycle following the School's independent status from the Department of Education. Process changes included standardized recruitment and onboarding workflows, a structured performance review cycle with manager coaching, and formalized payroll and year end processes.
Outcomes recorded in project notes include a successful implementation of the new HRIS and the company-wide rollout of the HR21 self service portal, plus the establishment and embedding of best practice HR approaches across National Art School. These achievements are presented as explicit program outcomes by the HR function during the 2013 to 2016 tenure that encompassed the 2014 deployment.

Shopify configuration focused on storefront theming, product catalog management, shopping cart and checkout workflows, order management, and hosted payment processing, reflecting standard eCommerce functional modules.
