In 2014 National Guardian Life implemented EXL LifePRO as its strategic Insurance Policy Administration platform for policy administration and servicing. EXL LifePRO was positioned to support both NGLs existing business and the individual life and annuity blocks acquired from Madison National Life, with the vendor license and support agreement described in public filings and announcements.
The EXL LifePRO implementation emphasized core Insurance Policy Administration capabilities, including new business intake, agent and commission management, policy administration, billing and collections, claims processing, reinsurance support and client management. EXL LifePRO was referenced as an end to end administration platform that would host ordinary life, universal life and annuity product processing alongside preneed workflows as part of a consolidated policy administration estate.
Operational scope for the deployment covered integration of recently acquired blocks representing approximately 280,000 policyholders and rollup of NGLs existing inforce portfolio toward a single administration platform. More than one million policyholders are part of NGLs overall book, and the LifePRO adoption was intended to unify processing for individual life and annuity lines across the companys licensed footprint in 49 states and the District of Columbia.
Governance and rollout messaging emphasized consolidation into a single system and platform flexibility, with NGL stating plans to migrate existing policies to LifePRO over time. The company framed LifePRO as a foundation to bolster customer service and to provide a flexible platform to support growth and operational objectives, while noting that the acquired Madison National Life blocks were already supported on the LifePRO platform.
