The IHiS Next Generation Electronic Medical Record (NGEMR) implementation included core Electronic Health Record capabilities, with deployment activities indicating clinical documentation, device integration and decision support were configured as part of the baseline product. The rollout context and public accounts support that clinical documentation templates, real time device interfacing and embedded clinical decision support workflows were key functional areas addressed during implementation.
Central teams from IHiS supported the transition, coordinating system provisioning and operational cutover across hospitals and polyclinics in Singapore, and the go live included hundreds of medical device integrations to populate the single patient record. The deployment architecture emphasized cluster level interoperability and a unified patient record spanning inpatient and outpatient sites.
Operational governance was structured around extensive workflow redesign, with clinical workflow reconfiguration and staged adoption driven by central program governance and local clinical leaders. Training, change management and clinical governance processes were reported as part of the program approach to embed the NGEMR into existing care delivery processes.
