In 2022, NEC Europe selected Strada to assist with a global HR transformation and implemented SAP SuccessFactors Compensation as part of a broader SAP SuccessFactors deployment. NEC Europe implemented SAP SuccessFactors Compensation within the Compensation Management category to centralize compensation processes across its global workforce of 11,000 employees, supported by Strada advisory services and technical teams.
The program delivered an initial global and technical design and go-live for five core SAP SuccessFactors modules, specifically Employee Central, Recruitment, Onboarding, Performance and Goals, and Succession Development. After the first year, NEC expanded the footprint to include SAP SuccessFactors Compensation and Learning, with the SAP SuccessFactors Compensation module configured to align pay rules, compensation cycles, and approval workflows with NEC’s global HR policy framework.
Strada provided managed services and customer care to support the live environment, operating an AMS function using ITIL framework best practice for incident resolution, platform enhancements, SAP issue management, and testing of mandatory changes in bi-annual SAP releases. Strada’s Customer Care delivered multi-channel, local language support for employees, and in 2025 Strada deployed UKG Document Management across NEC regions to complement SuccessFactors usability. During NEC’s 2023 reorganization Strada migrated the updated organizational hierarchy into SAP SuccessFactors and adjusted workflows and business rules to prevent operational disruption.
The engagement included a comprehensive gap analysis led by Strada that identified a 50% gap between NEC’s original HR framework and global best practices, and the advisory team defined a target operating model as a key milestone. Governance was restructured with clearly defined Global Process Owners and a clarified decision-making structure, and global centers of excellence were established to standardize processes and support international talent management. These governance changes created defined ownership for HR processes and streamlined escalation and change control for the SuccessFactors environment.
The combined NEC and Strada delivery unified 29 HR systems into a single SAP SuccessFactors HRIS, achieved over 90 percent global user adoption, and standardized global talent workflows to improve workforce oversight and consistency of development opportunities. The NEC SAP SuccessFactors implementation impacted HR, talent management, payroll interfacing activities, and employee support operations, while ongoing AMS and Customer Care services sustain platform stability and employee experience. NEC Europe SAP SuccessFactors Compensation Compensation Management supports centralized compensation administration as part of this unified HR landscape.
