Fiftytwo Legacy 52ViKING Point Of Sale ERP Services and Operations n/a 1990 1990
In 1990, Netto Germany deployed 52ViKING as its Point Of Sale. Netto Germany uses 52ViKING across its physical stores and online channels to centralize checkout flows and maintain price parity across sales channels for retail operations. The implementation configures core checkout processing and centralized price retrieval, with channel-specific modules in active use. 52ViKING is integrated with Scan&Go and BilkaToGo workflows in Netto, and the 52ViKING QSR module is used for on-site restaurants, enabling prices to be retrieved directly from 52ViKING so pricing is consistent between in-store, mobile scan, and online transactions. Operational coverage includes Netto stores within the Salling Group estate, associated online storefronts, and attached food service sites including Salling Roof Top and Carl's Jr. The deployment uses a single POS supplier model with 52ViKING as the common transaction engine across sales channels, which preserves coherence between point-of-sale, mobile checkout, and quick service restaurant ordering. Governance is organized around a single-supplier approach with Fiftytwo, supporting vendor centralization and simplified operational ownership. As stated by Jens Freiberg, Group Director IT Business Process Management, "It is an advantage that we, despite all of our physical and online solutions still only use one POS supplier, who covers everything, making it coherent," and "The true success is the thousands of transactions that are effortlessly carried out daily," underscoring the solution focus on checkout stability and transaction reliability.
