In 2017 New Hope Group implemented Infor Lawson as its ERP Financial application to standardize accounts payable operations. The deployment focused on the Accounts Payable function within New Hope Group Pty Ltd, supporting AP workflows across the company’s coal, exploration, port, oil and agricultural business interests, and aligning day-to-day accounting activity with a centralized financial application.
Operational modules and capabilities implemented in Infor Lawson included invoice data entry, purchase order matching and coding, employee expense claim processing, and payment execution via weekly payment runs. The system was the primary accounting program used for data entry and transaction processing, described in internal activity as Lawson/Movex accounting program, and it supported electronic filing and telephone-based vendor enquiry handling as part of AP operations.
The implementation was exercised in routine governance processes, notably weekly payment runs and monthly reconciliation cycles that included reconciling approximately 60 corporate credit cards per month. A contract Accounts Payable Officer provided leave coverage in 2019 to 2020 using Infor Lawson, indicating the application supported operational continuity and the full AP lifecycle for the Accounts Payable Team.

In 2019, New Hope Group implemented Hitachi Ellipse EAM (formerly ABB Ability Ellipse EAM) as its Enterprise Asset Management platform. The initial engagement was a short term Systems Administrator contract focused on scoping and demonstrating Ellipse 9.XX to business stakeholders in the Greater Brisbane area, with the objective of bringing multiple business units onto the new EAM instance from their current ERP and CMMS systems.
Configuration work centered on core Enterprise Asset Management capabilities, including establishment of an authoritative asset register, work management and maintenance planning workflows, spare parts and inventory controls, and mobile workforce enablement typical of Ellipse deployments. The project emphasized version 9.XX configuration, business process alignment for planned and corrective maintenance, and definition of automation points for scheduling and notifications.
Integrations and operational coverage were scoped to align Ellipse with existing ERP and CMMS data sources, with plans for data migration, interface mapping, and transactional synchronization between operations and maintenance records. Governance activities during the scoping phase included stakeholder workshops, demonstration sessions for functional owners, and definition of a phased rollout and change control approach to support cross functional operational adoption.
