Microsoft Microsoft Dynamics GP Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP Financial ERP n/a 2016 2017
In 2016, Next Story Group implemented Microsoft Dynamics AX to consolidate its finance operations. The Microsoft Dynamics AX deployment targeted ERP Financial capabilities and replaced Microsoft Dynamics GP as part of a migration project completed that year. The implementation focused on core finance modules consistent with ERP Financial systems, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, intercompany recharges, and month-end reconciliation workflows. Configuration work supported automated journal postings, P&L reporting with budget comparisons, balance sheet maintenance for two head office companies, and aging schedules for receivables used by management. Operational integration included uploading and releasing payments via online banking and the generation and distribution of remittance advice to vendors, reflecting an accounts payable to banking channel linkage. The finance team used Microsoft Dynamics AX to support BAS preparation and audit requirements, and staff such as the assistant accountant performed reconciliations, invoice processing, collections follow up, and system validation tasks during and after the migration. Governance and process changes centered on centralizing month-end controls, formalizing reconciliation and journal posting procedures, and embedding intercompany recharge workflows into the ERP Financial ledger. The Assistant Accountant role explicitly supported the cutover, ongoing accounting operations, and audit readiness under the Microsoft Dynamics AX environment.

Duetto Legacy Duetto GameChanger Reservation and Booking Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2017 2017
In 2017, Next Story Group implemented Duetto GameChanger as its Reservation and Booking Management solution. The deployment targeted Next Story Group's portfolio of 45 hotels and 5 co-working sites across Asia and Australia, with program leadership executed from technology teams in Singapore, Australia and India. Duetto GameChanger was configured to deliver core revenue management capabilities typical of the Reservation and Booking Management category, including dynamic pricing, demand forecasting, rate recommendations and centralized price optimization tied to booking pace analytics. The implementation included configuration of pricing rules, automated rate recommendations, reporting dashboards and scorecards to support commercial and eCommerce decision making. Operational coverage extended across hotel revenue, eCommerce and distribution channels, and the program ran as part of a broader technology portfolio that included product design work for Kafnu co‑working infrastructure and five regional projects implemented across APAC in a single year. Governance for the Duetto GameChanger implementation was managed by a 12-person technology organization, with formalized product and architecture ownership driving rollout sequencing, configuration standards and application hosting decisions. Infrastructure optimization and remote infrastructure management efforts supported the deployment, contributing to reported application uptime targets and documented outcomes that included increased eCommerce conversions and revenue growth of greater than 15 percent, quantified as approximately 300000 USD.
