Infor Legacy Infor SunSystems ERP Financial ERP n/a 2011 2012
In 2011 Nigerian Bottling Company deployed Infor SunSystems as its ERP Financial application. The implementation targeted consolidated financial operations spanning the manufacturing plant and regional depots, establishing a single financial application footprint for core finance and control functions across sites. Infor SunSystems was configured to support standard ERP Financial capabilities including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, consolidation and financial reporting consistent with corporate accounting workflows. The rollout included on-device access and data capture using Motorola Hand Held Terminal Device, iPAD and Samsung XCover4 devices, and addressed both software and hardware configuration needs across BASIS, SunSystems, Human Capital Management System and the Production Reporting System PRS in plant and depot environments. The architecture integrated Infor SunSystems with corporate Active Directory for centralized authentication and with an Anviz Biometrics Time and Attendance System for workforce timestamping, enabling financial posting and payroll reconciliation workflows to leverage biometric attendance data. Operational design used a centralized financial database model with distributed edge devices and data collection points at plant and depot locations to support near real-time transactional posting and production reporting handoffs. Governance and operational change focused on preventative maintenance and support processes, with planned preventive maintenance improving IT equipment availability from 85% to 99%. The program also documented savings, noting it saved over #3M on local training cost related to software and hardware in the plant and depots. Finance, HR and production reporting functions were the primary business areas impacted by the deployment and ongoing support model.
